Wildfire Community Event (CCWFP)

Community events on wildfire preparedness in Norwood (Mar 1) and Telluride (Mar 2). Experts will discuss safety plans and insurance.

At the Livery, and in the Yard, and across the street at the Firehall, 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm

The San Miguel County Office of Emergency Management and the Telluride Foundation are hosting a free panel discussion that will kick off the public comment period for the county’s newly completed draft plan, as well as highlight other issues related to wildfire risk, including building codes, insurance, and mitigation and resiliency efforts.

Welcome BBQ prior to panel discussion.

San Miguel County Office of Emergency Management, Norwood Fire Protection District, and the Telluride Foundation will be launching the community engagement of our Community Wildfire Protection Plan. We will be putting on a community BBQ, providing community resources and will have a panel of subject matter experts.
